An Ordinance to make provision whereby com-

panies registered under the Companies Ordinance,

1932, or incorporated under any other Ordinance

of the Colony, whose registered or head office

has been transferred out of the Colony may re-

establish such office in Hong Kong and whereby

companies, formerly having a registered office

in the Colony, which have, during the war, be-

come registered as companies under the laws of

any other part of His Majesty's dominions may

return (with modifications in appropriate cases)

to their former status.

BE IT ENACTED by the Governor of Hong Kong with

the advice and consent of the Legislative Coun-

cil thereof as follows:

This Ordinance may be cited as the Com-

panies (Cessation of Emergency Status) Ordin-

ance, 1946.

This Ordinance shall be construed as one

with the Companies Ordinance, 1932, (which Or-

dinance is hereinafter referred to as the "Prin-

cipal Ordinance") and any amendment thereof for

the time being in force.

This part of this Ordinance shall apply

to any company registered prior to the 25th

December, 1941, under the Principal Ordinance

or incorporated under any other Ordinance of

the Colony and which prior to such date had

transferred its registered or head office from

the Colony to some other part of the dominions

of His Majesty pursuant to the provisions of

the Defence (Companies Temporary Transfer of

Registered or Head Office) Regulations, 1941,
